Engineering and consulting firm Englobe has announced the acquisition of Reinbold Engineering Group, a Calgary-based mechanical engineering firm, in a move that will expand its capabilities in the buildings sector across Canada.
According to Englobe, the acquisition builds on its existing expertise in buildings and strengthens its ability to support clients throughout the full lifecycle of high-performance properties.
“The acquisition builds on Englobe’s established expertise in the buildings sector and enhances its ability to support clients not only in designing and delivering high-performance buildings across Canada, but also in ensuring optimal, resilient operations throughout their entire lifecycle,” the company said in a release.
The deal also adds further strength to Englobe’s energy modelling and commissioning capabilities through the integration of Reinbold Engineering Group’s team.
Following the acquisition, Englobe will add more than 90 team members working from offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver and Toronto.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
