Facing Growing Criticism of Warehouse Projects, New Coalition Circulate NJ Highlights Logistics Sector’s Contributions In response to increasing criticism of warehouse projects in New Jersey, a new coalition called Circulate NJ has emerged to showcase the positive contributions of the logistics sector to the state’s economy and environment. Bringing together over 35 members from transportation, logistics, real estate, and commerce, this initiative aims to restore public understanding of the crucial role this industry plays.

An Economic and Social Pillar

With more than 400,000 jobs and a $62.5 billion contribution to the GDP, the logistics sector is one of New Jersey’s economic drivers. Yet, critics of warehouse projects raise concerns about their environmental and community impact. Circulate NJ addresses these concerns by emphasizing efforts to rehabilitate industrial sites, develop modern infrastructure, and adopt clean energy solutions.

Building Constructive Dialogue

David Greek, president of the coalition, emphasizes that the goal is to educate residents and decision-makers about the real stakes of the logistics industry. He believes it is time to dispel misconceptions and demonstrate how this industry supports economic growth while investing in sustainable solutions.

A Response to Environmental Challenges

New Jersey’s logistics sector positions itself as a key player in combating climate change. By integrating green technologies and sustainable practices, it helps reduce the carbon footprint while meeting the growing demands of consumers.

A Promising Future

Circulate NJ seeks to prove that the logistics industry extends far beyond the transportation of goods. It creates jobs, supports local communities, and fosters inclusive economic growth. With this initiative, New Jersey can strengthen its position as a logistics hub while showing that economic progress and sustainability can go hand in hand.

By launching Circulate NJ, industry leaders reaffirm their commitment to collaborating with local communities to build a prosperous and sustainable future for New Jersey.
