Woodthorpe officially assumed the role on 27 April and will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Michael Steen. She will also join the Atlas executive leadership team.
In her new position, Woodthorpe will be responsible for strengthening leadership capabilities, aligning talent strategy with business priorities, and supporting the company’s operating model as Atlas continues to grow.
Her responsibilities will include talent acquisition, leadership development, organisational effectiveness, total rewards, employee engagement and relations, HR operations, and people technology.
Before joining Atlas Air Worldwide, Woodthorpe served for nearly four years as Chief People Officer at Brooks Automation. Prior to that, she spent more than five years as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Mercury Systems.
Her earlier career also includes senior HR leadership roles at Xylem and DuPont.
Michael Steen highlighted Woodthorpe’s experience in building stronger leadership teams, improving employee engagement, embedding values and behaviours, and creating more connected and accountable organisations.
Woodthorpe said she was excited to join Atlas at an important stage in the company’s development, adding that people and culture would remain essential drivers of the group’s long-term success.
