TORONTO EllisDon Facilities Services (EDFS) has entered into a new facilities management partnership with Scotiabank Arena, expanding its role in the long-term operation and performance of one of Toronto’s major sports and entertainment venues.
Under the agreement, EDFS will provide building operations management and maintenance services at Scotiabank Arena, as well as at other properties within the organization’s portfolio. These include Real Sports Bar & Grill, e11even Restaurant and the Ford Performance Centre.
The partnership covers a broad range of facility management responsibilities. EDFS will supervise, maintain, repair and inspect critical building systems, including mechanical and electrical infrastructure, building automation systems, and fire and life safety systems.
The company will also be responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance programs designed to support the ongoing reliability and performance of the facilities.
As part of the partnership, EDFS will also look after asset planning, energy management and continuous improvement initiatives.
The agreement represents an expansion of EllisDon’s role beyond traditional construction services, positioning the company as a long-term partner for the operation and optimization of complex facilities.
According to the company, the partnership further strengthens EllisDon’s position as a lifecycle partner for complex assets, building on its established construction expertise while supporting the long-term operation of facilities that are important to the people and communities they serve.
