San Francisco-based air cargo firm Swift Global Freight has announced an ambitious expansion into key Asian markets, as demand for air freight services surges. The company has established a new regional hub in Singapore, a strategic location that is expected to facilitate swift delivery connections to major cities across Asia, including Tokyo, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
According to CEO Nathan Crawford, the move aims to meet increasing demand for expedited shipping options driven by e-commerce growth and heightened global trade activities. The Singapore facility will focus on handling high-value goods, medical supplies, and tech equipment, which are often time-sensitive. Swift Global Freight has collaborated with local logistics partners and secured new warehouse facilities to streamline operations and enhance last-mile delivery.
This expansion comes at a time when the air cargo industry is adapting to rapid changes in consumer behavior, with a shift toward just-in-time delivery solutions. Analysts suggest that Swift’s strategic position in Asia may allow it to gain a substantial market share in the coming years, particularly as demand for perishable goods and electronics transport increases.
