Holex Flower has unveiled a major step in its international supply chain strategy with the launch of Holex Air Logistics, a dedicated air cargo service formed in partnership with leading freight specialist Airflo. The move signals an ambitious new chapter in the company’s “Connecting Continents” strategy, designed to streamline the transport of fresh flowers across the globe.

A Logistics-Driven Vision

The newly created entity, Holex Air Logistics, will act as the exclusive logistics provider for Holex Flower, with plans to extend services to its international subsidiaries in the U.S., Ecuador, and China. The goal: to tighten control over air freight operations, improve delivery timelines, and reduce logistical inefficiencies that challenge exporters in the floral industry.

“Across the entire supply chain, we are seeing links disappear,” said Paul Hoogenboom, Managing Director of Holex Flower. “This puts pressure on exporters like us. To stay profitable, we need to make things more direct and efficient—and this step is part of that strategy.”

A Strategic Collaboration with Airflo

Airflo, known for its long-standing expertise in perishables logistics, brings operational excellence and air freight infrastructure to the venture. Its collaboration with Holex Flower will enable faster, more predictable shipments with better end-to-end visibility—critical in an industry where freshness is paramount.

“We see this as an important evolution in our partnership,” noted Pim de Wit, Managing Director of Airflo Netherlands. “In time, this logistics framework will be able to support Holex’s growing operations in Miami, Quito, and Kunming.”

Why It Matters

In an era of supply chain disruption, control over logistics is a competitive advantage. By internalizing key freight capabilities, Holex gains flexibility to respond to market shifts, streamline delivery times, and provide more reliable services to global wholesalers and florists.

This vertical integration also reflects a broader trend in perishable logistics—where control, visibility, and sustainability are top priorities. With Holex Air Logistics, the company is well-positioned to meet evolving customer expectations and industry challenges.

Conclusion: Connecting Continents with Precision

Holex Air Logistics represents more than just a new division—it’s a symbol of Holex Flower’s evolution into a fully integrated global logistics player. As the demand for fresh-cut flowers grows worldwide, Holex is poised to deliver them faster, fresher, and more efficiently than ever before.
