MSC and Africa Global Logistics increase port activity in Tanzania

Tanzania is seeing more activity in its ports. Several international shipping and logistics companies are involved in this development. Africa Global Logistics (AGL), linked to the MSC group, is one of the operators increasing its presence in the country.

This involvement is related to daily port operations. Cargo handling, terminal use and flow management are key points. Tanzania is used as a transit and entry point for goods moving in and out of East Africa.

The work is not limited to vessels and terminals. Storage areas, customs clearance and inland transport are also concerned. These elements are handled together to avoid delays and operational interruptions.

For shippers, this can mean more regular services and fewer unexpected issues. For freight forwarders and local operators, it shows that Tanzanian ports are used as working logistics bases and not only as transit locations.
