Logistics payment and workflow solutions provider PayCargo is continuing its partnership with the AREAS Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Spain, that aims to promote social inclusion and support the personal and professional development of people at risk of exclusion through education and training.
This partnership is meant to bring educational initiatives to communities around the world. The foundation’s 2026 scholarship program, which currently has 110 active scholarships, benefits over 1,000 individuals across India, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Gambia and Spain. Two construction projects started earlier in 2026 in Kenya and Nigeria are expected to impact more than 35,000 people.

The initial phase of the construction program in Kenya involves the development of a Rescue Dormitory for girls fleeing genital mutilation and child marriage. The facility is meant to be a safe place to live and to allow the girls to focus on their education.
The first phase will run for one year. Then, phase two and three will follow. These phases are aimed at further strengthening education, safety and health within the rural community.
The second project in Nigeria is the building of a new school for students at Holy Name School. The existing school is at risk of collapse and is not able to meet the growing demand for enrollments. The new facility will provide better conditions and space needed to provide quality education to students.

In addition to construction initiatives, the AREAS Foundation has 110 active scholarships for its 2026 scholarship program. These awards will directly benefit more than 1,000 people in India, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Gambia and Spain.
The scholarships cover various levels of education, from early childhood education to elementary and secondary education and university studies.
The AREAS Foundation’s wider program is based on the aspiration of providing access to quality education in safe and healthy environments. Its Scholarship Program covers school fees, transport, accommodation and other essential expenses, helping children with good academic performance but limited financial means to continue their education.
The organization also runs Construction Projects, which fully fund the development of new educational facilities, or the improvement of existing ones, extending the foundation’s support beyond individual scholarships to the infrastructure communities need to sustain education.
