Pixel Robotics GmbH, a leader in AI-driven logistics solutions, is set to showcase its latest innovation, the Pixel PT, at LogiMAT 2025 from March 11-13 in Stuttgart, Germany (Hall 4, Stand F05). This advanced transport robot combines cutting-edge technology with practical artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency, safety, and flexibility in intralogistics operations.

Innovative Foil Recognition Technology

A standout feature of the Pixel PT is its new foil recognition process. Traditionally, loose or hanging foil from pallets could trigger emergency stops in transport robots, disrupting workflow. Pixel Robotics has addressed this challenge by enabling the Pixel PT to distinguish between hanging foil and safety-critical objects, such as a person’s foot. This differentiation allows the robot to continue operations without unnecessary interruptions, significantly boosting productivity and preventing delays in warehouse processes.

Key Features of the Pixel PT

  • Intelligent Fork Detection: Equipped with camera-based AI, the Pixel PT reliably detects forklift forks and adapts to uneven or rough flooring, ensuring stable and secure pallet transport.
  • Flexible Pallet Handling: The robot can pick up pallets regardless of slight positional deviations, enhancing operational flexibility.
  • Secure Handling of Wrapped Pallets: Its AI system differentiates between foil and solid obstacles, allowing smooth handling of pallets wrapped to the ground.
  • Rule-Based Placement: Mimicking human operators, the Pixel PT places pallets pragmatically and adaptively, optimizing space utilization.
  • Obstacle Avoidance: The robot identifies people, vehicles, and both moving and stationary obstacles, responding with remarkable flexibility to ensure safety.

Utilizing a digital twin of the operational area, Pixel Robotics enables seamless collaboration between humans and machines without requiring adjustments to existing processes or Warehouse Management System (WMS) integration.

The introduction of the Pixel PT represents a significant advancement in autonomous material handling, particularly in environments where traditional automated systems face challenges due to uneven surfaces or common warehouse obstacles. By integrating sophisticated AI capabilities, Pixel Robotics is paving the way for more resilient and adaptable logistics solutions.
