Cyberattack Disrupts Radiant Logistics’ Operations in Canada, Leading to Customer Service Delays
Last week, Radiant Logistics, a leading firm in global freight technology, experienced significant disruptions in its Canadian operations due to a cyberattack, leading to postponed services for its customers in Canada, reports cybersecurity news outlet The Record by Recorded Future.
The company detected unauthorized network activity on March 14, prompting an immediate shutdown of its Canadian operations, initiation of incident response protocols, and collaboration with external cybersecurity specialists to address the breach, as stated in a report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. While Radiant Logistics announced plans to restore the affected services within the next week, it assured that its operations in the U.S. and internationally remain untouched by this cybersecurity incident, which is not anticipated to negatively impact the company’s financial standing. This cyberattack, which remains unclaimed by any cybercriminal group, follows a series of similar incidents targeting major entities, including a ransomware attack on major U.S. trucking software provider ORBCOMM and breaches targeting operational networks of critical infrastructure sectors, exemplified by last year’s attacks on food distributor Sysco and cold storage firm Americold.
