Rize Properties has completed Koto, its first purpose-built student rental housing development, adding new accommodation for students at UniverCity on Burnaby Mountain in British Columbia.
The project, located just a short walk from the Simon Fraser University campus, features 168 fully furnished rental homes, with a total of 282 bedrooms. The residences are available in a range of layouts, including studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom units.
Koto is also the first residential development at UniverCity to include four-bedroom homes, expanding housing options for students seeking shared accommodation.
The building features many amenities to enhance student life such as social lounges with a community kitchen, foosball tables and many gathering areas. Students will also have access to designated study areas, wellness and fitness space and secure bike storage with a repair room.
An outdoor patio overlooking the forested landscape of Burnaby Mountain provides additional communal space for residents.
The project was designed by RWA Group Architecture, with interior design by Ste Marie, while Article Furniture supplied the furnishings throughout the development.
With the completion of Koto, Rize Properties expands the supply of purpose-built student housing near Simon Fraser University, providing modern, fully furnished accommodation in one of Metro Vancouver’s largest university communities.
