Samsara has introduced its first major brand redesign since the company was founded, marking a new chapter as it surpasses $2 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and continues to expand its artificial intelligence platform for physical operations.
The San Francisco-based company announced a refreshed visual identity featuring a redesigned owl logo, a custom typeface inspired by the handwriting of Samsara engineers and a bold yellow color influenced by construction sites and industrial workplaces. The rebranding coincides with annual recurring revenue growing 30% year over year.
According to Chief Marketing Officer Meagen Eisenberg, the company developed the new identity using the same customer-focused approach it applies to product development.
She explained that Samsara conducted dozens of customer interviews and on-site visits to better understand the environments where its technology is used. The feedback gathered during that process influenced every aspect of the redesign, from the visual elements to the overall brand direction.
The company said the new identity reflects its “Built with operators” philosophy, drawing inspiration from truck cabs, construction sites and field operations where customers work every day.
Since its launch, Samsara has evolved from a telematics provider into what it describes as an AI orchestration platform serving industries such as logistics, construction, energy, manufacturing and retail. Together, these sectors represent approximately 80% of the global workforce and account for more than 40% of global GDP, according to the company.
Customers also participated directly in shaping the new brand.
Tom Olitsky, Vice President of Safety at Performance Food Group, said Samsara has consistently delivered measurable improvements in operational safety and decision-making, adding that the updated brand reflects the same operator-first approach that has strengthened the partnership between the two companies.
James Banner, Senior Vice President of Administration and Safety at Pike, also contributed to the rebranding process. He said Samsara stands out because customer feedback has a direct influence on product development, and he believes that collaborative approach is now reflected in the company’s visual identity as well.
The rebrand comes as Samsara continues to invest heavily in product development. Since its founding, the company has invested more than $1 billion in research and development and now releases more than 200 new features every year.
Recent innovations include the Samsara Tracking Label, Agent Studio and AI Multicam, all designed to expand the company’s artificial intelligence capabilities beyond its traditional telematics offering.
Samsara also reported that its largest customers are increasing their adoption of the platform by extending its use across broader business operations rather than limiting it to fleet management or individual facilities.
New products powered by AI, like driver coaching and asset tracking technologies, are approaching $150 million in annual recurring revenue and already account for more than 20% of Samsara’s net-new business. The figures show Samsara’s growth is increasingly driven by a broader portfolio of AI solutions beyond its original telematics platform.
Samsara is laying the groundwork for its next phase of growth with a refreshed identity and continued investment in artificial intelligence, while solidifying its role as a technology partner to businesses that manage complex physical operations.
