Hunt & Palmer USA, the American division of international air charter specialist Hunt & Palmer, has appointed Joe Lacek as vice president of US cargo charters as the company seeks to expand its footprint in the North American freight charter market.
Lacek officially joined the company last month and will be responsible for strengthening the broker’s position in the highly competitive US cargo charter segment.
He began his aviation career with charter broker Air Partner, where he worked first as an account manager before being promoted to account director. During his eight-year tenure, he helped drive consistent regional growth before leaving to work briefly as an independent aviation consultant.
Jamie Peters, director of cargo at Hunt & Palmer, said Lacek’s experience and reputation in the industry made him a natural fit for the company.
“Joe launched his aviation career at a well-respected competitor and spent eight years there delivering consistent year-on-year growth in the region,” Peters said. “His deep understanding of the North American market and his strong reputation across the industry align perfectly with Hunt & Palmer’s core values.”
For his part, Lacek said he was excited to join a company that has steadily built a global reputation for reliability and professionalism in the charter market.
“My goal is to ensure Hunt & Palmer remains the broker of choice for freight forwarders and customers seeking the highest level of service in cargo charter solutions,” Lacek said. “There is tremendous growth potential in the US market and I’m looking forward to helping the company capitalise on those opportunities.”
