Amazon Web Services has launched Amazon Connect Decisions, an agentic AI supply chain planning and intelligence tool designed to help companies improve planning, data analysis, and decision-making.
The platform combines more than 25 specialized supply chain tools into a network of AI agents, referred to as “teammates,” that can perform calculations, analyze patterns, and support decision-making.
According to AWS Supply Chain vice president Ozgur Dogan, the system is designed to help businesses make decisions in hours rather than days. The platform draws on Amazon’s experience managing more than 400m SKUs.
More than 10 beta customers have been using Connect Decisions since late last year, including Wells Vehicle Electronics and TVS Motors.
The system connects data from multiple platforms, including ERP tools, and centralizes decisions in a hub that builds intelligence over time. AI teammates can help identify root causes, recommend resolutions, prioritize alerts, translate demand forecasts, and detect unnecessary inventory.
Connect Decisions includes both visual dashboards and a chat interface, allowing users to ask questions directly about the data being analyzed. AWS says the platform adapts to how each company operates rather than requiring companies to change their processes.
One of the foundation models behind the tool is Amazon’s Supply Chain Optimization Technology, or SCOT, which supports decisions around what items to buy, where inventory should be placed, how it is stored, and how products are shipped to customers.
Connect Decisions is the latest evolution of AWS Supply Chain, which first launched in 2022 and was expanded with new capabilities in 2024.
