Emirates SkyCargo is continuing the expansion of its digital strategy through a new partnership with U.S.-based air cargo booking platform Pelicargo.
The cargo division of Emirates becomes the first Middle Eastern carrier to establish full API connectivity with Pelicargo, allowing customers to access instant booking capabilities.
The integration reflects a major shift in the U.S. cargo market, where digital booking channels are increasingly replacing traditional manual processes.
According to Emirates SkyCargo, the company has seen a strong rise in customers using digital platforms for cargo reservations, alongside a steady decline in offline transactions.
Through the partnership, Emirates aims to reach a broader network of American freight forwarders while offering customers greater flexibility, autonomy, and real-time access to cargo capacity.
Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates SkyCargo, said digitalization is now playing a central role in improving operational efficiency and accelerating the exchange of critical supply chain information.
Through Pelicargo, customers can now access:
* real-time schedules;
* available capacity;
* live pricing;
* and instant booking services available 24/7.
Several of Emirates SkyCargo’s specialized products are already available through the platform, including:
* Fresh and Fresh Breathe for perishables;
* Pharma solutions for temperature-sensitive healthcare products;
* Airfreight Priority for urgent shipments;
* and standard general cargo services.
Pelicargo becomes the fourth major digital marketplace connected to Emirates SkyCargo after cargo.one, CargoAi, and WebCargo.
For Emirates, expanding across multiple digital channels is part of a broader strategy aimed at making air cargo booking faster, more transparent, and more accessible for freight forwarders worldwide.
