Bjorn Hojgaard, CEO of Anglo-Eastern Univan Group, has officially joined the speaker lineup for September’s Splash Singapore, a new maritime event from the organisers of Geneva Dry that is quickly positioning itself as one of Asia’s leading shipowner gatherings.

Hojgaard will participate in the opening “Big Issues” panel moderated by Splash editorial director Sam Chambers. Other confirmed speakers for the session include Jeremy Sutton, CEO of Swire Shipping, John Su from Erasmus Shipinvest Group, and Nick Potter from AET.

Built on the foundation of eight editions of the Maritime CEO Forum Singapore, Splash Singapore aims to bring together senior maritime executives for direct and unscripted discussions focused on the challenges reshaping global shipping. Organisers are promoting a format with no presentations, no slides and no sales-driven speeches, encouraging open conversations between industry decision-makers.

The event is scheduled to take place on September 24 at the Fairmont Singapore, one day before the Singapore Shipping Association’s well-known annual dinner.

Supported by the Singapore Maritime Foundation, the conference will feature panels bringing together shipowners, charterers and shipmanagement executives from across the industry.

Additional sessions will focus on tanker markets, dry bulk shipping and chartering trends. One of the most anticipated discussions is expected to be the session dedicated to artificial intelligence, digitalisation and the future maritime workforce.

The event will also introduce the new SplashTech Digital Leaders Forum, where maritime technology, AI innovation and the practical impact of digital tools on shipowners will be discussed. The session will be moderated by Su Yin Anand and will include speakers such as Ben Palmer from Viasat Commercial, Ingrid Kylstad from Klaveness Digital, Jean Maynier from Kpler, Marina Hadjipateras from TMV, and Nakul Malhotra from Wilhelmsen Group.

Grant Rowles, co-founder of the event, said the quality of speakers joining Splash Singapore highlights the growing demand within the shipping industry for honest, high-level discussions during a period of major transformation across global maritime markets.

Registration for the event is priced at S$750, with special discounted accommodation rates secured for delegates at the Fairmont. Organisers say the timing also allows attendees to remain in Singapore for several additional maritime events taking place later that week.

Among the companies confirmed to attend are BW Group, Baltic Exchange, Hafnia, RightShip, Norden, Pacific Basin Shipping, Vale and Lloyd’s Register, alongside dozens of other maritime and technology firms.
