Stord, a leading fulfillment provider, has recently made a strategic move by acquiring ProPack Logistics, enhancing its capabilities in temperature-controlled storage and last-mile shipping services for its omnichannel brands. Although the financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, this development underscores Stord’s commitment to strengthening its position in the market.

Sean Henry, the co-founder and CEO of Stord, highlighted the significance of ProPack’s extensive 30-year experience in amplifying Stord’s offerings. This acquisition positions Stord as a frontrunner in catering to brands that require specialized temperature-controlled logistics solutions, particularly in the nutritional, health, and beauty sectors.

One of the key benefits of this acquisition is the expansion of Stord’s footprint into new markets across the United States and Canada. While Stord presently operates fulfillment centers in Atlanta, North Haven, Dallas, Las Vegas, and Reno, the addition of ProPack’s facilities extends its reach to pivotal locations such as Seattle, Salt Lake City, Nashville, Vancouver, and Mississauga.

With the integration of ProPack’s capabilities, Stord now boasts a vast network of fulfillment centers spanning 1.6 million square feet. This expanded infrastructure is projected to facilitate the processing of over 25 million orders annually, encompassing both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business transactions.

Sean Henry emphasized the strategic advantage of ProPack’s facilities in complementing Stord’s existing network. This strategic alignment, coupled with Stord’s advanced order and warehouse management systems, is poised to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness for clients.

In addition to the acquisition, Stord has been proactive in introducing innovative solutions to address evolving market dynamics. Notably, the company launched a vendor delivery consolidation program in October to support small merchants seeking access to major retailers’ shelves. Furthermore, Stord introduced Stord One Commerce, an order management system aimed at optimizing order routing, multichannel inventory management, and last-mile delivery.

In the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape, Stord remains committed to empowering brands with comprehensive solutions that drive sales, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Sean Henry reiterated Stord’s dedication to meeting the evolving needs of brands, positioning the company as a catalyst for growth and resilience in the competitive market landscape.
