Global Logistics System (HK) Company Limited (GLSHK) is extending its partnership with STARLUX Airlines as the Taiwanese carrier launches its new direct Taipei–Prague service into the European market.
On August 1, 2026, STARLUX launched its first direct service to Europe. The airline is initially operating three weekly services, with the new cargo operation also adding further customs and security requirements to manage before shipments are loaded.
GLSHK is supporting the expansion thru its EzyCustoms platform, which will extend the digital customs and cargo screening capabilities it has provided to STARLUX since 2019.
STARLUX’s European entry supported by digital instruments
The two companies have collaborated for several years to advance STARLUX’s air cargo digitalization.
STARLUX utilizes EzyCargo for electronic air waybill processing and EzyCustoms for customs safety screening within its established network of 34 Asian and international destinations.
Europe is now part of the network and STARLUX must adhere to requirements such as the European Union’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2) and Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) rules.
These frameworks require security data and accurate cargo information to be submitted prior to departure.
Automated compliance for high risk shipments
EzyCustoms is designed to make this easier with automated data validation, pre-arrival compliance checks and real-time customs filings.
The platform also provides real-time customs status information supported by IATA ONE Record, which helps STARLUX improve visibility and manage regulatory requirements more efficiently.
This is especially critical for high-value and time-sensitive cargo, where delays, inaccurate information or compliance issues can directly impact operations.
The system helps STARLUX to enhance its customs screening processes while meeting the safety and compliance requirements for its growing international cargo network.
A partnership that grows with the airline’s network
STARLUX said the Taipei–Prague route is an important milestone in its global expansion, while GLSHK said extending EzyCustoms to the new European operation demonstrates the scalability of its digital infrastructure.
GLSHK CEO Simon Ng said the company is still supporting carriers with digital devices as they enter new markets and face more complex customs requirements.
The Prague launch therefore means more than a new destination for STARLUX. It also illustrates the growing importance of digital cargo and customs systems as airlines grow internationally and face tighter security, data and compliance requirements.
The expanded partnership for GLSHK further enhances its position as a technology provider supporting air cargo digitalization, customs compliance and operational efficiency across the networks of global airlines.
