CSafe has added Silverskin RE PMC to its temperature-controlled shipping portfolio, a reusable thermal blanket designed for multi-pallet pharmaceutical air freight shipments.
The new PMC-sized solution is designed to provide thermal protection with a full refurbishment model to support multiple use throughout its operational lifecycle, fulfilling the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
Silverskin RE PMC is built with six-layer compressible insulation to deliver thermal protection for temperature sensitive payloads kept between +2°C to +8°C and +15°C to +25°C. The modular design is intended to improve the efficiency and consistency of application and removal at cold chain touch points.
The cover is 1.5 meters high and can hold up to eight Euro pallets or six US pallets, making it ideal for large-volume, multi-pallet airfreight movements. CSafe said the refurbishment model is intended to extend the useful life of the cover and keep it performing.
The launch comes at a time when pharmaceutical shippers, freight forwarders and airlines are increasingly pressured to reduce operational waste and demonstrate credible sustainability practices without compromising the integrity of temperature-sensitive products.
Silverskin RE PMC has been engineered for multiple use in harsh airfreight environments. CSafe’s refurbishment approach is not a change in materials, but rather to make reusability part of the product’s operational model. This can mean fewer thermal covers being disposed of over time for customers managing high-volume multi-pallet routes, as well as helping to reduce disposal costs.
