WINNIPEG – StandardAero has completed the expansion of its maintenance facility in Winnipeg, a project supported by a $3 million investment from the Manitoba provincial government.
According to the company, the completed expansion is expected to further strengthen Manitoba’s position as a leader in the aerospace industry.
The project added approximately 70,000 square feet to the existing facility, increasing its overall footprint by nearly 40 per cent. The additional space will allow StandardAero to expand its maintenance capabilities and accommodate a greater volume of work.
The enlarged facility will support maintenance activities involving the GE Aerospace CF34-3/8 and CFM International CFM56-7B engines. Both engine families power some of the world’s most widely used commercial and military aircraft.
With the expansion now complete, StandardAero’s Winnipeg operation has additional capacity to support the aerospace sector and the maintenance requirements associated with these widely deployed engines.
