Alvys takes over LoadOps customer base as Optym doubles down on LoadAi

Alvys is taking over the customer base of Optym’s LoadOps transportation management system (TMS) under a strategic partnership announced by the two companies Wednesday. Alvys said the financial terms of the transaction will remain private.

Under the agreement, Alvys will become the TMS provider for carriers and brokers that previously used LoadOps. Optym, meanwhile, will retain LoadAi, its load-planning and driver-assignment platform, and is concentrating its resources on that business.

Optym has spent more than 25 years applying operations research to freight-planning decisions. Its LoadAi platform is currently used by asset-based carriers across North America.

“We built Optym to solve the hardest optimization problems in transportation. This partnership lets us put everything into that mission,” said Ravi Ahuja, founder and CEO of Optym.

According to Alvys, Optym approached the company after reviewing several transportation management system providers. The selection was based on which vendor was considered best positioned to support the existing LoadOps customer base as those businesses expanded.

The transition is already underway, with the companies moving LoadOps accounts onto the Alvys TMS individually.

The central argument for the migration is consolidation. Alvys says its platform can bring several operational functions together under a single system, including dispatch, accounting, compliance and driver management for both carriers and brokers.

“We are very grateful to Ravi, Shaman, and the team at Optym for the opportunity to partner with their LoadOps customers and to provide them with a platform to continue to grow and thrive. In Alvys, these companies are getting one platform for dispatch, accounting, compliance, and driver management … for both carriers and brokers. One login, one source of truth. We built it for operations exactly like theirs,” said Nick Darman, founder and CEO of Alvys.

Alvys and Optym said they are working directly with each customer on the transition and setup process. The companies said some early operations were migrated within days of the initial call, while initial users have also recommended the platform to peers.

Founded in 2020, Alvys says its platform now supports approximately $9 billion in annual freight activity and 60,000 carrier drivers. The company has raised $77 million in total funding, including a $40 million Series B led by RTP Global in September 2025.

The company has also continued expanding its TMS capabilities. On Aug. 11, Alvys launched Alvys Foundry, a platform designed to help carriers and brokers build AI agents for tasks such as check calls, invoice and settlement preparation, and track-and-trace exceptions. Users can create those agents using Alvys templates or build them to specific requirements.

Both companies said they plan to unveil a shared offering for the combined customer base at a later date. Alvys also told FreightWaves that the partnership could lead to multiple additional opportunities for closer cooperation between the two organizations.

“Our LoadOps customers needed a TMS partner built for the long haul. Alvys is that partner. In meeting with Alvys’ clients and leadership team … we are working with them to make a smooth transition,” Ahuja said.
