AERION serves as the commercial brand of the holding group behind ECS Group, Global GSA Group, TCE, CargoTech, Mail and More, and HealthC’Air. The platform brings together expertise in general sales and service agent (GSSA) services, technology, specialised capabilities and operational activities, giving airlines access to a broad range of services spanning the air cargo value chain.
In his new position, Penciolelli will work across AERION’s businesses and teams to develop closer relationships with airline partners. His responsibilities will include identifying airlines’ priorities and connecting them with the appropriate expertise and resources available throughout the Group.
Adrien Thominet, Chairman of the holding company behind the Group’s businesses and Founder of AERION, highlighted the value of Penciolelli’s experience and knowledge of airline partnerships. He said his appointment would strengthen the Group’s ability to coordinate its different capabilities and ensure its services remain aligned with the needs and priorities of airline partners.
Penciolelli brings a background in industrial engineering, with a specialisation in supply chain management. He started his professional career in strategy and operations consulting, working at Strategy&, part of PwC, and EY.
He later moved to CEVA Logistics, initially joining the team of the Group Chief Operating Officer. He subsequently took responsibility for Global Air Procurement & Carrier Management within the company’s Air Product organisation, gaining experience in airline procurement and carrier management.
Commenting on his appointment, Penciolelli emphasised the importance of understanding airlines’ operational requirements and establishing strong working relationships.
“Having worked closely with airlines from the buying side, I understand the importance of strong relationships, clear priorities and solutions that respond to real operational needs. AERION brings together a wide range of expertise. My role is to work across these businesses and with our teams to make those capabilities as relevant and accessible as possible to our airline partners.”
He will also collaborate with regional and global teams to improve coordination and oversee key airline partnerships throughout AERION’s international network.
As the Group’s commercial air cargo brand, AERION brings together ECS Group, Global GSA Group, TCE, CargoTech and several specialised entities under a unified offering. Its integrated approach is designed to provide airlines with a single point of access to the Group’s capabilities, combining commercial performance, operational excellence, digital expertise and specialised services across the air cargo value chain.
