AmWorld Group has acquired Crossflight, reinforcing its capabilities in airfreight, project logistics and international fulfilment.
The acquisition enables AmWorld to better manage complex multimodal operations while integrating specialised mailing and fulfilment services — a combination increasingly demanded by global customers.
Air charter, time-critical delivery and airfreight management remain central to the expanded offering.
According to CEO Ian Bolton, the move is designed to support customers with non-standard logistics requirements, particularly those operating across multiple markets or under tight time constraints.
Rather than pursuing scale alone, the strategy focuses on precision, accountability and high-touch customer service.
Crossflight’s operational teams and customer relationships will remain in place, ensuring continuity while benefiting from AmWorld’s broader infrastructure and global network.
Integration is ongoing, with a clear emphasis on maintaining service quality throughout the transition.
NIPPON CARGO AIRLINES JOINS BARIG’S AIR CARGO COMMUNITY IN GERMANY
Japan’s only all-cargo airline strengthens BARIG’s cargo network as the industry pushes for better operating conditions in Germany

The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has welcomed Nippon Cargo Airlines as a new member of its air cargo segment, further expanding the association’s cargo expertise at a time when the sector continues to face mounting operational challenges.
Nippon Cargo Airlines, Japan’s only all-cargo carrier, currently links the major cargo markets of Tokyo and Frankfurt and brings additional specialist freight knowledge to the BARIG network.
BARIG chairman and executive director Michael Hoppe said the association is pleased to add Nippon Cargo Airlines to its community, noting that the cargo sector in Germany is under pressure from high location costs, overly complex procedures and a heavy administrative burden. He added that BARIG now brings together the expertise of more than 35 cargo carriers and continues to work on improving framework conditions for air cargo in Germany.
Founded in 1985, Nippon Cargo Airlines has built its reputation as a specialist in a broad range of air cargo operations. The airline currently operates a fleet of eight Boeing 747-8F freighters serving destinations around the world.
Kazumasa Kobara, general manager Germany at Nippon Cargo Airlines, said the German market is strategically important for the airline, given the long-standing and intensive economic relationship between Germany and Japan. He added that the carrier looks forward to contributing to the exchange of expertise within the BARIG community and to playing a role in shaping the future of the industry.
