Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) has appointed Andy Lawrence as president of Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM), its aircraft leasing division, as the company continues to strengthen its presence across leasing, airline operations and MRO services.

In his new role, Lawrence will oversee CAM’s global leasing activities, with responsibility for portfolio optimisation, customer relationships and strategic growth initiatives.

He joins the position with more than 30 years of aviation industry experience, spanning aircraft and engine finance, leasing, trading and commercial leadership.

Most recently, Lawrence served as chief commercial officer at TrueAero, where he led the company’s global commercial strategy across aircraft, engines and aftermarket materials.

Before that, he held senior leadership roles at Standard Chartered Aviation Finance, including managing director and regional head of the Americas.

His background also includes leadership positions at RBS Aviation Capital, AerFin and GE Aviation, covering areas such as OEM sales, MRO services and operational excellence.

Commenting on the appointment, ATSG president and chief executive Greg Mays said Lawrence brings a strong mix of commercial leadership, financial discipline and industry knowledge that fits well with CAM’s role inside the broader ATSG group.

Mays added that Lawrence’s experience in leasing, financing and portfolio development supports ATSG’s focus on disciplined growth, consistent performance and long-term value creation. He also highlighted Lawrence’s practical leadership style and deep understanding of the business’s financial drivers as key strengths for the company’s next phase of development.
