Avia Solutions Group has officially appointed Zilvinas Lapinskas as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 7, as the company looks to accelerate its next phase of international growth.
Lapinskas is no stranger to the Group. He previously led FL Technics, where he played a key role in transforming the company from a European maintenance and repair provider into a global business serving major airlines across several continents. He will continue leading FL Technics until the end of July, when his successor is announced, while remaining a member of Avia Solutions Group’s Board of Directors.
The appointment also marks a new chapter for Jonas Janukenas, who has spent nearly nine years at the helm of Avia Solutions Group. Rather than leaving the business, he is stepping into the position of Chief Financial Officer, where he will focus on financial strategy, capital allocation and supporting the Group’s long-term development.

Janukenas said it had been a privilege to lead the company over the past decade and believes the timing is right for Lapinskas to take over the role. As CFO, he will continue contributing to the Group’s future by ensuring strong financial management while supporting its ambitious expansion plans.
According to Gediminas Ziemelis, Founder and Chairman of Avia Solutions Group, the leadership changes are designed to build on the company’s momentum. He said Lapinskas brings the international operational experience needed for the next stage of growth, while Janukenas’ deep understanding of the business will remain a major asset in his new financial leadership role.
With this new executive structure in place, Avia Solutions Group aims to continue expanding its global footprint while reinforcing its position as one of the aviation industry’s leading service providers.
