The Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA), in partnership with the British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA), is launching BUILDFest, a new event designed to bring together construction professionals, businesses and industry leaders in a more interactive setting.
The event will take place on September 24 at the PNE Forum in Vancouver, combining the traditional elements of a construction tradeshow with live demonstrations, networking and festival-style activities.
Organizers say the event will feature interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, BUILDTalks, networking opportunities, entertainment and the BUILDFest Block Party.
For VRCA president Jeannine Martin, the initiative reflects the collaborative nature of the construction sector.
She said the event is intended to create a space where industry professionals can build relationships, discover new ideas and highlight the contribution construction makes to communities across British Columbia.
BUILDFest will also give participating companies an opportunity to present their products, services and expertise directly to decision-makers and other professionals working across the industry.
Chris Atchison, president of BCCA, said the event reflects the sector’s focus on innovation and community while creating opportunities for businesses from across the province to establish new relationships and exchange ideas.
The event is expected to attract hundreds of general and trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, owners and other construction leaders from across the region.
By combining business networking with demonstrations and public-facing activities, BUILDFest aims to offer a different format for an industry gathering while highlighting the technologies, companies and professionals contributing to the evolution of construction in B.C.
Registration, exhibitor participation and sponsorship opportunities are now available.
