ECS Group opens two GSSA offices in LebanonECS Group is expanding its operations into Lebanon with the opening of two new offices on 1 July, giving airlines and freight forwarders a stronger local presence in one of the region’s key air cargo markets.

One office will be located at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, while the second will operate from downtown Beirut. Together, they will handle cargo sales, booking management, operational support and regulatory compliance for airline customers operating in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The company says the new branches will support both narrow-body and wide-body carriers looking to grow their presence in the region. Customers will also have access to ECS Group’s digital tools and local expertise, helping improve cargo management and day-to-day operations.

Chief Executive Officer Jean Ceccaldi said Lebanon has always been an important market for the company because of its strategic location between Europe and the Middle East. He added that discussions with airline partners over the years have consistently highlighted the country’s long-term growth potential.

Ceccaldi also believes there is room to modernise Lebanon’s air cargo sector, noting that the market has lacked a well-established GSSA provider with strong digital capabilities. Through the new offices, ECS Group plans to introduce technology that improves efficiency while helping airlines and freight forwarders better manage bookings, cargo capacity and compliance requirements.

The company described the investment as part of its long-term commitment to Lebanon, saying it hopes to support trade, strengthen supply chains and build closer relationships with local and international partners.

The Beirut teams will manage both general cargo and perishables, using ECS Group’s CargoTech platform to optimise available capacity, respond more quickly to market changes and deliver services that meet international industry standards.
