Singapore’s PSA International is redefining global maritime logistics by achieving a milestone 10 million container movements at its ultra-modern Tuas Port—the world’s largest fully automated container terminal. Since its opening in 2022, the port has been at the forefront of next-generation automation and AI-driven logistics, revolutionizing container handling efficiency.

Automation Driving Unprecedented Efficiency

At the heart of Tuas Port’s breakthrough are over 300 Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and fully automated yard cranes, seamlessly coordinated through a state-of-the-art fleet management system. The result? 24/7 optimized container handling, reduced operational costs, and improved supply chain efficiency with minimal human intervention.

“The integration of cutting-edge automation at Tuas Port has enabled us to push the boundaries of efficiency and reliability,” said a PSA International spokesperson. “We are committed to setting new industry standards for smart port operations.”

Strategic Partnerships Strengthening PSA’s Global Dominance

In a bid to secure long-term terminal capacity and expand its influence in global trade, PSA International has entered into a strategic joint venture with Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC). The collaboration aligns with EMC’s plans for fleet expansion and strengthens Singapore’s role as a premier maritime hub.

Industry experts highlight this move as a game-changer for supply chain logistics, ensuring stable terminal access and boosting operational resilience.

Future Vision: A Smart Supply Chain Hub by 2027

Looking ahead, PSA International has ambitious plans to expand its logistics footprint within Tuas Port by 2027. The planned facility will serve as a connected regional distribution center and container freight station, enhancing Singapore’s role in global trade and supply chain innovation.

“This is more than just an investment in port infrastructure—it’s an investment in the future of logistics,” noted a senior industry analyst. “PSA’s commitment to automation and digitalization is setting a new benchmark for the industry.”

Transforming Global Maritime Logistics

As PSA International continues to integrate AI, automation, and digital solutions into its operations, its success at Tuas Port signals a broader shift toward intelligent supply chains and data-driven efficiency in global shipping. The company’s efforts reinforce Singapore’s position as a leader in maritime logistics and port innovation.
