Danbulk has appointed Martin Egvang as chairman of its board, adding a highly experienced shipping and business profile to the leadership of the newly established Danish dry bulk operator.
Egvang previously served as CEO of Copenhagen-based Lauritzen Bulkers before stepping down in March last year, citing stress-related challenges. Earlier in his career, he also led Danish operator Integrity Bulk.
Danbulk’s board now includes Martin Egvang as chairman, Kim Larsen as vice-chairman, Martin Kristensen and company CEO Thomas Nielsen.
The company said the appointment brings “a highly experienced profile from shipping and business” to guide the board during a period of growth and strategic expansion.
“We look forward to working together to further develop Danbulk and create even more value for our customers and business partners worldwide,” Nielsen said.
