Logistics UK has announced that renowned comedian and television personality Josh Widdicombe will host the 10th edition of its prestigious Logistics Awards, scheduled to take place on 10 December at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.

The event marks a significant milestone for the organisation, celebrating a decade of recognising outstanding achievements across the logistics industry. Over the years, the awards have become one of the sector’s most anticipated annual gatherings, bringing together professionals from road, rail, maritime and air transport, as well as manufacturers, logistics providers and supporting businesses throughout the supply chain.

Widely recognised for his role on the award-winning Channel 4 programme The Last Leg, Widdicombe has established himself as one of the UK’s most popular comedians and broadcasters. His television career includes appearances on major shows such as QI, Live At The Apollo, A League of Their Own, Have I Got News For You, Taskmaster and The Royal Variety Performance. He has also served as team captain on Rob Beckett’s Smart TV, co-hosted Hold The Front Page and Hypothetical, and is a regular presenter on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. More recently, he was announced as one of the presenters of Strictly Come Dancing 2026.

Commenting on the announcement, Logistics UK Chief Executive Ben Fletcher described Widdicombe as one of Britain’s leading comedy talents and praised his growing profile in the entertainment industry.

“Josh is one of the UK’s funniest comedy talents and a household name whose star is most definitely on the rise with his appointment to the Strictly family,” said Fletcher. “We are delighted to welcome such a high-profile host to this year’s Logistics Awards, and attendees can look forward to an evening full of celebration and laughter.”

Now firmly established as a flagship event for the logistics community, the awards recognise individuals and organisations that have delivered exceptional contributions to the sector over the previous 12 months. Covering every major transport mode and supporting industry, the programme highlights the people and businesses that keep supply chains moving and support the UK economy.

Entries for the 2026 awards remain open and are free of charge. Logistics UK has encouraged businesses and professionals across the industry to submit their applications before the deadline of 5:00 pm on 3 July.

Fletcher emphasised the importance of the awards as a platform for recognising industry achievements.

“The Logistics Awards provide a valuable opportunity for the sector to reflect on its accomplishments over the past year,” he said. “As the only awards created by the industry, for the industry, they unite all transport modes and supporting sectors. With the submission deadline approaching quickly, we encourage everyone to enter and seize the opportunity to be recognised on one of the industry’s biggest stages.”

As the countdown begins, the 10th anniversary edition promises to be a landmark celebration of innovation, resilience and excellence across the logistics sector.
