Austrian recycling technology firm Komptech has partnered with logistics provider cargo-partner to optimize its spare parts distribution. The collaboration involves relocating Komptech’s spare parts logistics to the iLogistics Center Graz, aiming to improve delivery efficiency and availability for customers worldwide.

Strategic Relocation to iLogistics Center Graz

Initiated in October 2024, the move to the iLogistics Center Graz is designed to streamline Komptech’s logistics operations across Europe and international markets. The facility’s strategic location near the Graz container terminal offers later pick-up times and extended order deadlines. Its proximity to the airport, highway, and railway connections, including the Koralm railway development, further supports expedited shipments.

Customized Storage Solutions

To accommodate Komptech’s diverse range of spare parts, cargo-partner has implemented tailored storage systems, featuring:

  • Heavy-Duty and Long Goods Racks: Designed to handle various sizes and weights of spare parts.

  • Automated Reordering Systems: Monitoring stock levels in real-time and triggering restocking as needed.

In 2025, a permanent inventory system was introduced to enhance supply chain stability. Martin Schenzel, Managing Director of cargo-partner Austria, noted, “With our customized storage systems, we have significantly increased processing speed, taking efficiency to a new level.”

Digital Integration and Global Coordination

Komptech has integrated digital tracking through the SPOT platform, enabling real-time monitoring of inventory and order status. This system provides full visibility of stock levels and facilitates consolidated shipments, accessible to Komptech teams globally, including those in the USA. Manfred Harb, Director of Customer Service at Komptech, stated, “Our collaboration with cargo-partner at the iLogistics Center Graz enables us to deliver spare parts to our customers worldwide even faster and more efficiently.”

Efficient Last-Mile Delivery

cargo-partner also manages last-mile delivery, ensuring timely distribution through hub deliveries and shipment consolidation. Both companies plan to continue refining their logistics processes to further enhance efficiency and service quality.
