Mark 3 International has appointed Chris Stevens as Asia Business Development Executive, bringing in an industry veteran with three decades of experience to support the company’s growth ambitions across Asia-Pacific and beyond.
Stevens has built his career across the postal, parcel, courier, logistics and forwarding sectors, with experience spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. He has also held senior roles at Swiss Post International, now part of Asendia, and Bpost International, also known as Landmark Global, where his focus was on global cross-border ecommerce.
In his new role, Stevens will help expand Mark 3’s business in the region while advising customers on digital cross-border shipping solutions, including DDP and DDU models. His remit also covers data capture and enhancement, HS code classification, compliance, screening for prohibited and restricted goods, and the calculation of duties and taxes.
Speaking about the appointment, Stevens said he was pleased to join a company that has continued to invest in infrastructure and technology to improve value for customers. He pointed to the postal sector as a key area of focus, noting that designated operators, particularly national postal services, are under increasing pressure to manage end-to-end supply chains while also adapting to rapid regulatory change. He said Mark 3 is well positioned to help organisations navigate that environment.
The appointment comes after a year of significant growth, investment and commercial wins for the company. Mark 3 said recent moves, including the acquisition of Tricargo, a global air cargo sales solution, and a strategic partnership with DPD UK, part of the Geopost Group, have strengthened its ability to support customers facing increasingly volatile trade conditions.
Matthew Ware, CEO of Mark 3 International, said the current trade environment, shaped by changing tariffs and geopolitical instability, is making international shipping more difficult and more expensive for exporters worldwide. He said Stevens’ appointment reinforces the company’s position in the Far East and expands its ability to offer exporters in the region a broader range of options backed by deep logistics expertise.
Mark 3 has also broadened its physical and digital capabilities over the past year. The company added warehousing capacity at JFK airport in New York and plans to expand further at LAX. It has also invested in AI specialist Dobby AI to build more advanced tools for consolidating shipping data.
