NACOS Marine is continuing to build out its position in the Nordic maritime technology space with the integration of Finnish specialist Groke Technologies into its operations.
As part of the move, the Turku based company will now operate under the name NACOS Marine Finland Oy, marking a clearer structural presence for NACOS in Finland as it deepens its focus on bridge systems, automation and navigation technologies.
The acquisition also brings Groke Technologies’ vision-assist systems into the wider NACOS portfolio, where they will be developed and commercialised under a new product line called NACOS Vision Assist.
According to NACOS Marine CEO Thomas Heldarskard-Winnerskjold, the integration is part of a broader strategy to expand the company’s maritime technology offering and strengthen its engineering base in key Nordic markets.
He pointed to Finland’s strong maritime tradition and technical expertise, saying the new structure reflects a long-term commitment to investing in both local talent and innovation. He also confirmed that NACOS Vision Assist is expected to be introduced to the global market later this year.
Groke Technologies has specialised in advanced situational awareness tools and vision assist systems designed to improve navigation accuracy and enhance operational safety onboard vessels.
With this integration, NACOS Marine is positioning itself more firmly at the intersection of automation, safety systems and digital bridge technologies, as demand for smarter navigation solutions continues to grow across the maritime sector.
