China has inaugurated its fourth TIR logistics hub in Shenyang, Liaoning province, marking a significant step in bolstering its international road transport and trade capabilities. This state-of-the-art facility is the first TIR hub in Liaoning and underscores Shenyang’s role as an economic powerhouse in northeast China.

Key Features of the Shenyang TIR Logistics Hub

  • Comprehensive Services:
The hub provides an integrated platform for TIR transport companies, customs services, and supply chain participants. Services include customs clearance, warehousing, cargo handling, route development, and transport-capacity matching, creating a seamless logistics experience.
  • Strategic Location:
Located in the Liaozhong Park of the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the facility spans 150,000 square meters, positioning it as a major player in handling large-scale logistics operations.

A Boost for Regional Trade

Shenyang, a central economic hub in northeast China, is strategically positioned to benefit from this logistics hub. By streamlining cross-border transport and trade, the facility will foster innovative collaboration among businesses and unlock new trade opportunities in the region.

The hub also aims to improve connectivity between China and its trading partners under the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) system, which facilitates international road transport by reducing customs procedures and improving efficiency.

High-Level Support

The hub’s inauguration ceremony saw participation from prominent officials, including the Vice Mayor of Shenyang, the Deputy Head of Shenyang Customs, and transport department leaders. Their presence highlights the robust support from local and national authorities, ensuring the hub’s success and sustainability.

Expanding the TIR Network in China

The Shenyang hub joins three existing TIR logistics hubs in Kashgar, Urumqi, and Zhengzhou. This expansion underscores China’s commitment to enhancing its international road transport infrastructure and creating efficient trade corridors across Asia and beyond.

Driving Growth in Cross-Border Trade

The launch of the Shenyang TIR logistics hub marks a milestone in advancing China’s trade and logistics ecosystem. By consolidating essential transit services in a single location, the hub is set to inject vitality into the TIR system and drive the growth of cross-border trade in northeast China.
