Strategic Marine has secured a fresh order from Mainprize Offshore for the construction of two new 33 m Supa Swath crew transfer vessels, continuing a partnership that has steadily expanded over the years.

The Singapore-based shipbuilder confirmed that the latest contract brings the total number of Supa Swath vessels ordered or delivered to Mainprize Offshore to 10, underlining the offshore operator’s growing reliance on the platform for its operations.

Designed by Walker Marine Design, the new vessels are an upgraded version of the existing 26 m Supa Swath model, with several improvements aimed at increasing range, stability and operational flexibility offshore.

The new design features a longer 30 m waterline length, a wider 13 m beam and fuel oil capacity exceeding 63,800 litres, giving the vessels significantly more endurance at sea.

Passenger capacity has also been increased from 27 to 39 people, allowing the vessels to support larger offshore teams during transfer operations.

From the bridge, crews will benefit from full 360 degree visibility, while the vessels will also include a 140 sq m cargo deck capable of carrying up to 50 tonnes, making them among the more capable CTVs in their segment.

The two vessels are expected to be delivered during the third quarter of 2027. Once completed, they will increase Mainprize Offshore’s fleet size to 21 vessels.

The order reflects a wider shift happening across offshore operations, where demand is increasingly moving toward larger and more versatile crew transfer vessels capable of handling longer missions, heavier cargo loads and more demanding operating environments.
