Transportation & Logistics Systems, Inc. (TLSS) has released its Form 10-Q report for the second quarter of 2024, detailing notable financial improvements and major operational shifts.

Financial Highlights

  • Operating Expenses: For the three months ended June 30, 2024, TLSS reported total operating expenses of $237,736, a substantial decrease from $995,769 in the same period of 2023, indicating effective cost-reduction measures.

  • Loss from Operations: The company recorded a loss from operations of $(237,736), an improvement compared to the $(995,769) loss in the prior year, reflecting enhanced operational efficiency.

  • Net Loss: Net loss stood at $(573,574), a significant reduction from $(2,478,791) in the corresponding period of 2023, underscoring improved financial performance.

Operational Developments

  • Cessation of Core Activities: As of February 2024, TLSS ceased all operations related to its logistics and transportation services, including e-commerce fulfillment, last-mile deliveries, two-person home delivery, mid-mile, and long-haul services.

  • Subsidiary Deconsolidation: The company deconsolidated several subsidiaries, such as Cougar Express and Freight Connections, following their bankruptcy filings, resulting in the relinquishment of control over these entities.

  • Employee Layoffs: Subsequent to halting operations, all remaining employees of Cougar Express and Severance Trucking were laid off by February 16, 2024, with support staff at TLSS Ops released by February 29, 2024.

Future Outlook

TLSS is currently evaluating potential restructuring of its existing debts and obligations and is exploring the possibility of entering new lines of business, either through acquisitions or other means. However, the company remains insolvent and has faced delays in meeting its annual and quarterly reporting obligations, necessitating additional financing to prepare and file its remaining 2024 financial reports.

These developments mark a pivotal transition for TLSS as it seeks to navigate financial challenges and redefine its operational focus.
