A wide range of technology solutions aimed at improving freight transportation efficiency were unveiled during the annual meeting of the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) in Orlando.
The event served as a platform for logistics technology companies to showcase innovations spanning trailer management, artificial intelligence, connectivity solutions and operational efficiency tools.
Several companies presented new systems designed to improve trailer utilization and fleet coordination.
BeyondTrucks introduced its Trailer Yard Module, integrated with the company’s transportation management system (TMS). The platform aims to help operators manage specialized fleets and improve coordination of complex trailer assets.
REPOWR also presented its Trailer Optimization Platform (TOP), designed to automate trailer repositioning decisions across large carrier networks.
According to REPOWR executives, trailer repositioning is often handled manually using spreadsheets and disconnected systems.
The new platform aims to automate these decisions and execute fleet strategies across carrier networks without constant manual intervention.
Technology provider Pedigree Technologies unveiled its Tail Light Tracker, a GPS-enabled trailer light capable of providing real-time tracking while remaining hidden within the vehicle’s lighting system.
The concept is designed to prevent cargo theft by concealing tracking devices from criminals who typically remove visible tracking hardware.
Connectivity solutions also attracted attention during the conference.
EpicVue announced a satellite-based internet service powered by the Starlink network that allows truck drivers to access high-bandwidth data services even in remote areas without reliable cellular coverage.
Artificial intelligence was another key focus.
Fleet maintenance technology company DataDis introduced an AI system capable of processing complex maintenance invoices from third-party service providers in seconds — a task that previously required up to 30 minutes of manual work.
Meanwhile, logistics technology firm Optimal Dynamics launched its AI platform “Scale,” designed to detect network imbalances within freight operations and automatically optimize load planning strategies.
Industry observers say the variety of innovations presented at the event reflects the rapid digital transformation reshaping the global freight transportation sector.
