Trans Global Projects (TGP) has expanded its footprint in Northern Europe with the launch of TGP Finland, while also confirming the appointment of Jussi Heinonen to lead the new operation.
The move reflects the company’s focus on markets where heavy engineering, industrial manufacturing and energy activity require specialist logistics expertise and disciplined project execution. Finland, with its technically demanding industrial base, fits clearly within that strategy.
TGP said the new entity will operate as part of its global network, working closely with both regional and international teams to support complex project logistics requirements from the Finnish market.
Group chief executive Colin Charnock said Finland is home to highly specialised industrial and engineering companies operating under demanding project conditions and tight execution schedules. In his view, establishing a local presence allows TGP to support those clients more closely while combining local market understanding with the wider project experience of the global group.
TGP Finland will be led by Jussi Heinonen, who joins the company with a strong background in project cargo, heavy transport and oversized logistics, along with experience in project management, sales and business development across Finland and the wider Northern European region.
Before joining TGP, Heinonen held senior leadership roles in Finland’s project logistics market, including as managing director and partner at UPF Finland Oy. He also previously worked in management positions related to project transport execution and development across Finland, Sweden and the Baltic states. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management from Turku University of Applied Sciences.
Heinonen said he was joining TGP because of its clear focus on disciplined planning and delivery in complex project environments. He described his role as building a strong local operation in Finland that can support clients directly while drawing fully on the network’s global expertise and reach.
Andreas Menzel, managing director for Northern Europe at TGP, said Finland is a technically demanding market where local knowledge and close coordination are essential. He added that the new operation strengthens TGP’s on-the-ground capability while remaining fully connected to broader regional and international project resources.
Looking ahead, TGP Finland will focus on serving customers in heavy industry, energy and industrial manufacturing, providing direct local support while integrating into TGP’s wider Northern European and global project logistics structure.
