Aviator Airport Alliance has named Minna Virmajoki Managing Director of its Finland operations, a new leadership phase of the company’s operations in the country.
Virmajoki joined Aviator Finland in 2023 as Finance Director and most recently served as Interim Managing Director. She now takes on the permanent role, bringing with her a strong background in finance, business leadership and cross-industry experience developed prior to her entry into aviation.
Since joining Aviator, she has worked closely with operational teams and customers in Finland, gradually taking on broader responsibilities as she moved into senior leadership. Her appointment reflects the company’s focus on internal talent development and continuity in its management structure.
In her new role, Virmajoki will concentrate on strengthening operational excellence, advancing people development initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the Finnish organisation.
“Aviator’s motto ‘For every take-off’ reflects our commitment to reliability, safety, and teamwork in everything we do. Every flight depends on the work we deliver on the ground, and that responsibility is something we take great pride in,” Virmajoki said.
She added that her priorities will include reinforcing operational performance and building an open, collaborative working environment where continuous improvement becomes part of everyday practice.
Aviator Airport Alliance operates aviation services across 15 airports in the Nordic region, supporting a wide range of major international carriers including SAS, Finnair, Norwegian, Air France-KLM, Lufthansa Group, Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Turkish Airlines.
The company is part of Avia Solutions Group, recognised as the world’s largest ACMI provider, with operations spanning six continents. Virmajoki’s appointment is expected to further support Aviator’s strategic positioning within the Nordic aviation services market, particularly as demand for efficient ground handling and airport operations continues to evolve.
