Oriental Sky Aviation has officially joined Awery Aviation Software’s CargoBooking platform, becoming the first Chinese General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) to offer digital air cargo quotations and bookings through the online marketplace.
The announcement was made during Air Cargo Shanghai and represents a significant step forward in the long-standing partnership between the two companies. Oriental Sky has already been using Awery’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system since 2022 to support both its GSSA activities and charter operations.
With its integration into CargoBooking, Oriental Sky’s airline portfolio, cargo capacity and service offerings will now be available to freight forwarders through a single digital platform. The move is designed to simplify and accelerate access to quotations, bookings and shipment management, providing customers with a more efficient and streamlined booking experience.
The partnership also marks an important milestone for CargoBooking as it expands its presence in one of the world’s most technologically advanced air cargo markets.
According to Awery, China continues to play a leading role in the digital transformation of air cargo, making Oriental Sky’s participation a strong endorsement of the platform’s capabilities and continued development.
Oriental Sky currently provides a wide range of services for airline partners across 21 countries, including cargo representation, total cargo management, charter operations, interline services and various value-added logistics solutions. Through CargoBooking, freight forwarders will gain easier and faster access to this extensive international network.
Commenting on the agreement, Rush Wang, Founder and President of Oriental Sky, emphasized that digitalisation remains a strategic priority throughout the company’s operations.
He noted that the company has already experienced the operational benefits delivered by Awery’s technology over the past several years and described the integration with CargoBooking as a natural progression in the relationship between the two businesses.
By joining the platform, Oriental Sky aims to enhance accessibility to its global network while improving efficiency for both airline partners and freight forwarding customers.
The partnership emphasizes the growing momentum of digital booking solutions in the air cargo industry where increased visibility, faster processing and smooth connectivity are increasingly important for carriers, GSSAs and logistics providers worldwide.
