Farnborough International Airshow 2026 is expanding its business agenda with the launch of the Aerospace Global Forum: Finance Summit, a new event designed to connect the global investment community with companies shaping the future of aerospace, defence, space, cybersecurity and advanced technologies.
The summit is expected to welcome more than 600 investors representing around 350 organisations, making it one of the largest finance-focused gatherings ever held alongside the airshow.
Participants will include senior executives from investment banks, sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms, venture capital groups, hedge funds, consultancies, stock exchanges and corporate advisory firms. Among the organisations expected to attend are Barclays, the event’s strategic partner, as well as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Blackstone, Carlyle, Mubadala, Qatar Investment Authority, Temasek International, the British Business Bank, the London Stock Exchange and UK Export Finance.
According to Farnborough International CEO Gareth Rogers, finance has always played an important role at the airshow, but the growing pace of innovation across the aerospace sector has created the need for a dedicated platform focused on investment and business growth.
He said the new Finance Summit has been created to give investors direct access to industry insights, emerging technologies and companies looking for strategic partnerships and funding.
The event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, roundtable sessions and networking opportunities, allowing investors and aerospace companies to exchange ideas, discuss market trends and explore future business opportunities.
The programme is designed to bring together established aerospace and defence companies, fast-growing technology firms and innovative start-ups, creating an environment where new partnerships and investment opportunities can develop.
Farnborough International is launching the Finance Summit to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading aerospace exhibitions but also as a global hub for innovation, industry and investment to support the next generation of aviation and defence technologies.
