Evri – the UK’s biggest pure-play parcel delivery company after merging with DHL eCommerce last year – is set to enter the US delivery market with the acquisition of Florida-based courier Cross Border Connect (CBC).
The deal will improve Evri’s capability to handle e-commerce deliveries and returns between the UK and the United States. Evri said the deal combines its existing scale with CBC’s technology platform and domestic U.S. parcel delivery expertise.
The deal, unveiled on Monday, is part of the Evri Group’s international expansion strategy. This comes as the UK-U.S. e-commerce corridor is one of the world’s fastest growing trade lanes, offering Evri a chance to consolidate its position in a market that is seeing increasing cross-border parcel volumes.
The deal follows a major move by DHL eCommerce in mid 2025 when the company took a major minority stake in Evri and merged its operations with the UK parcel carrier. The deal formed a major parcel delivery group in the United Kingdom. Evri now processes over a billion parcels and three billion business letters annually.
Evri has also continued to grow its cross-border capabilities across Europe. In 2025 the firm bought Coll-8, an Irish-based customs clearance specialist, in a multi-million dollar deal. The deal gave Evri direct access to the Republic of Ireland and helped wider cross-border trade across the European Union.
U.S. network and technology capabilities to CBC
Cross Border Connect is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, and operates an asset-light delivery network supported by its proprietary technology platform.
The platform also manages pickup and customs clearance at six ports of entry as well as direct injection of parcels into the nearest carrier’s hub. This enables retailers and marketplaces to optimize parcel routing based on cost, speed and service needs.
Following the acquisition, CBC co-founder Chris Lentjes will stay with the business as CEO, Evri said.
The deal is expected to give Evri better access to the US domestic delivery market and allow customers shipping between the UK and US to benefit from CBC’s carrier network and customs capabilities.
Why That Matters
The parcel and cross-border logistics market has seen an explosion of last-mile delivery and logistics providers in recent years, giving shippers a wider range of options. But analysts in the industry have also talked about the need for consolidation as the market matures and companies battle to carve out sustainable positions.
Evri’s move is part of that wider trend, and of the growing ambitions of parcel operators seeking to grow beyond their home markets.
“This acquisition is an important step in the ongoing growth of Evri’s international business. “Cross Border Connect has deep expertise in the U.S. market, strong carrier relationships and innovative technology that allows customers to improve cross-border delivery speed and achieve cost reductions of up to 30%,” said David Saenz Evri’s Chief Commercial Officer.
“By leveraging CBC’s proven network, integrated customs capabilities and Evri’s best-in-class air freight rates, customers will have even greater flexibility to make smarter shipping decisions and maximize their international delivery operations.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
