Texel Air Australasia is making significant strides in the air cargo sector with the addition of a new Boeing 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) to its growing fleet. This strategic move comes as the airline seeks to expand its operations and meet the increasing demand for efficient and reliable air freight services across the Asia-Pacific region.
A Major Step in Fleet Expansion
The newly acquired 2010-vintage 737-800BCF, previously operated by World Cargo Airlines, arrived in Hamilton, New Zealand, on March 1 and is leased from BBAM. The aircraft offers improved payload capacity and enhanced fuel efficiency, making it an ideal choice for express cargo and e-commerce logistics, two sectors experiencing rapid growth worldwide.
Texel Air Australasia’s Growing Presence
With this latest addition, Texel Air Australasia’s fleet now includes six Boeing 737-800BCFs, reinforcing its position as a key player in the regional cargo aviation industry. The company has hinted at further expansions throughout 2025 as it continues to capitalize on growing trade and logistics demands across Australia and New Zealand.
