Cebu Pacific has renewed and expanded its long-term partnership with Jettainer, extending a relationship that began in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and has grown alongside the airline’s recovery and expansion.
The early renewal provides for the continuation of Jettainer’s full ULD management and maintenance services, while also introducing the company’s latest IoT-based tracking technology.
Since the partnership began, Cebu Pacific has recorded strong growth following the recovery in global air traffic. The airline now operates one of the youngest fleets in the world, with 100 aircraft including 14 Airbus A330neo, and continues to expand both its domestic and international network. It is also the preferred air cargo carrier in the Philippines.
Under the renewed agreement, Jettainer will continue supplying a customised ULD fleet designed to ensure the right level of equipment availability across all Cebu Pacific flights. These operations will remain managed through Jettainer’s intelligent IT platform, JettwareNG.
The extended contract also gives Cebu Pacific access to Jettainer’s latest IoT tracking solution. The system combines LoRa and BLE technology with cellular-enabled units that function as mobile readers. Using meshing technology, it creates a dynamic and self-expanding network that improves visibility, supports more efficient asset use and reduces unnecessary repositioning, helping the airline advance its sustainability goals.
In addition, Jettainer will assign a dedicated Customer Service Manager to Cebu Pacific to provide on-site operational support. The role is intended to streamline processes further and enhance service quality across the airline’s growing network.
Cebu Pacific chief operations officer Javier Massot said Jettainer has been a reliable and innovative partner throughout the airline’s growth journey. He credited the company’s consistent ULD availability, seamless operational integration and proactive support with helping Cebu Pacific improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary ULD movements and support sustainability efforts.
Jettainer, for its part, said operational excellence and customer satisfaction remain at the centre of its mission. Chief sales officer Thorsten Riekert thanked Cebu Pacific for its continued trust and said the company looks forward to continuing its joint growth path, with a focus on innovative, value-adding services and close customer support.
