Hasbro is working through the fallout of a cyberattack that has disrupted parts of its manufacturing and shipping operations and could lead to weeks of product delays. The company disclosed the incident in a regulatory filing, saying an unauthorised party gained access to its network on 28 March.

In response, Hasbro took selected systems offline and launched an investigation with the support of third-party forensic specialists. The company said it has also activated business continuity plans to keep operations moving as securely as possible while remediation work continues.

A spokesperson said business remains open, but the company is still assessing what files may have been affected and whether any data was compromised. It has pledged to notify the relevant authorities where necessary.

For a company behind major brands such as Play-Doh and Transformers, the incident is a reminder that cyberattacks are no longer just IT events. They can quickly spill into order processing, shipping performance and customer service, especially when operational systems are directly affected.
