Delta Cargo has joined WiseTech Global’s CargoWise Carrier Connectivity Program, strengthening its digital distribution capabilities and making its cargo services more accessible to freight forwarders operating through the CargoWise platform.
The integration enables users to consult Delta Cargo’s rates, flight schedules and available capacity, while managing shipments in real time without leaving their existing logistics workflow. Through standardised data exchanges, freight forwarders can plan, book, confirm and oversee shipments directly within the platform.
The system also offers greater flexibility in booking management. Users can customise shipments according to commodity requirements, select routing options and amend bookings as customer needs evolve. By consolidating these activities within a single environment, the connection is designed to reduce manual work, improve operational efficiency and provide another digital distribution channel for Delta Cargo.
Peter Penseel, President of Delta Cargo, said that making the airline’s services accessible wherever freight forwarders prefer to work remains central to its digital strategy. He added that the integration extends access through platforms customers use daily, delivering the real-time visibility and reliability they expect.
Jorre Cobelens, Vice President of Logistics Data, AI and Connectivity at WiseTech Global, described the integration as a live commercial connection between the two operating environments. Access to Delta Cargo’s real-time data allows freight forwarders to make decisions based on available capacity and current rates, while the airline gains digital connectivity across its operations.
A connectivity programme serving major freight forwarders
The CargoWise Carrier Connectivity Program links freight forwarders with participating carriers through a single platform integration. According to WiseTech Global, its customer base includes 23 of the world’s 25 largest global freight forwarders, giving participating airlines access to a substantial international logistics network.
Delta Cargo’s participation follows a similar initiative involving American Airlines Cargo, which joined the programme in May 2026. That integration also allows freight forwarders to plan, book, confirm and manage shipments in real time through CargoWise, with access to schedules, rates, capacity and booking modifications.
The American Airlines Cargo connection additionally supports the digital transmission of the Master Air Waybill through to final execution and is aligned with the International Air Transport Association’s ONE Record standard for data sharing.
CargoWise expands its broader digital offering
The Delta Cargo integration comes as WiseTech Global continues to develop its commercial model and platform capabilities.
In December 2025, the company introduced CargoWise Value Packs, replacing its previous seat-based and transaction-based licensing system with a new commercial structure. The packs cover freight forwarding, customs, warehousing and land transport, with charges based on logistics jobs.
They also incorporate additional platform capabilities, AI-powered automation tools and access to WiseTech Academy training. The Value Packs form part of WiseTech Global’s wider platform development and are separate from the Delta Cargo connectivity agreement.
Delta Cargo continues to build digital booking tools
The new link to CargoWise is part of Delta Cargo’s continuing efforts to improve digital access to its services.
In July 2026, the airline introduced a five-day flexible-date search option on its website, deltacargo.com. The tool enables customers to compare flight options within up to five days in one search, helping them to more efficiently evaluate available transport options.
This feature provides real time schedules, cargo capacity and pricing, and appropriate customer rate and allotment indicators. In addition to booking directly on its website, Delta Cargo customers can book on partner platforms including cargo.one, CargoWise and Freightos.
The airline has also made major upgrades to its cargo management infrastructure. In November 2025, Delta Cargo implemented the iCargo platform from IBS Software at 252 cargo stations worldwide, on-boarding 6500+ users to the new platform.
It replaced an older platform that had been in service for nearly 30 years. The iCargo system handles terminal operations, truck dock management, customs, security and the handling of premium shipments.
The rollout was aimed at standardizing operating procedures, supporting automation and increasing visibility across Delta Cargo’s global activities. The deployment, as well as recent digital booking initiatives and new CargoWise integration, forms part of the airline’s wider efforts to modernize cargo operations and to make its services more accessible to freight forwarding partners.
