InterGlobe Air Transport has been appointed the exclusive Cargo General Sales Agent (GSA) for STARLUX Airlines in India, in addition to serving as the airline’s passenger GSA in the market.

The new partnership is intended to support STARLUX Airlines’ expansion in India and strengthen its commercial presence in the country at a time when India’s international trade sectors and aviation market continue to develop.

Under the agreement, InterGlobe Air Transport will provide comprehensive support for STARLUX’s cargo activities in India. Its responsibilities will include sales, marketing, distribution and operational support, as well as the management of regulatory clearances required for cargo operations.

Simon Liu, Chief Strategy Officer of STARLUX Airlines, described India as a strategically important market for the carrier’s long-term network development.

“India is one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets and an important region in STARLUX Airlines’ long-term network development strategy. We are pleased to partner with InterGlobe Air Transport, whose extensive experience, strong market presence, and deep industry relationships make them an ideal partner to represent STARLUX in India. Together, we look forward to introducing more Indian travellers and cargo customers to STARLUX’s award-winning service and premium travel experience across our growing global network,” Liu said.

STARLUX currently operates services from Taiwan to airports across a broad international network covering the United States, Czechia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

For InterGlobe Air Transport, the agreement adds STARLUX to its portfolio while giving the company a role in developing both passenger and cargo opportunities for the airline across the Indian market.

JB Singh, Director at InterGlobe Air Transport, said the company was pleased to represent STARLUX in India and contribute to the growth of the Taiwanese carrier.

“We are delighted to represent STARLUX Airlines in India and support the growth of one of the world’s most admired premium carriers. The airline has built a strong reputation for redefining the travel experience through its customer-centric approach, modern fleet, and commitment to excellence. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to introducing high-quality, global travel options to Indian consumers,” Singh said.

He added that InterGlobe’s priorities will extend beyond representation, with a focus on building STARLUX’s visibility and expanding its commercial reach throughout India.

“Our focus will be on building strong brand visibility, expanding market reach, driving passenger demand, and developing cargo opportunities across key Indian markets,” Singh said.

The partnership therefore combines STARLUX’s expanding international network with InterGlobe Air Transport’s local sales, marketing and operational capabilities, covering both the airline’s passenger business and its cargo activities in India.
