Norse Atlantic Airways reported its best July ever, with a record total revenue per available seat kilometer (TRASK) of 7.1 U.S. cents, up 27% compared with July 2025. The airline also reported a very strong load factor of 98.5% across its scheduled network and ACMI/charter operations.

The carrier carried 139,172 passengers during the month. This was down 32% year-on-year, but this was the consequence of the airline choosing to cut available capacity by 31% in reaction to persistently high fuel prices.

The airline said the strong demand for its direct trans-Atlantic services, combined with a successful program of FIFA World Cup charter flights, helped fill aircraft and support higher average fares, despite operating fewer scheduled flights.

“Norse has experienced a good demand for its low-cost long-haul proposition and continued demand for transatlantic travel as well as the success of its charter services during the FIFA World Cup, which has resulted in consecutive months of record unit revenues,” CEO Eivind Roald said.

The airline’s “airline-on-demand” strategy enabled it to respond quickly to market opportunities, he said, launching dedicated flights from London and Oslo to the United States for fans traveling to follow their national teams.

In July Norse operated 248 scheduled flights on its own network, plus 247 ACMI and charter flights. The carrier operated 100% of its scheduled flights and 70% of its flights left within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time.

Operational performance, however, was impacted by continued delays due to air traffic control, congestion at airports and disruption due to the conflict in the Middle East.

Norse expects to continue adding capacity gradually as fuel prices keep falling. The airline is considering adding more services to New York and Orlando, which would also increase its passenger flights’ transatlantic belly cargo capacity.
