Rhenus has appointed Scott Dudley as Managing Director of its Air & Ocean UK division, as the company looks to strengthen its UK operations and ramp up the next stage of growth within its global logistics network.
In his new role, Dudley will be responsible for expanding the UK business, improving customer experience and aligning operations more closely with the broader “One Rhenus” strategy, which aims to create a more integrated and consistent global service model across the group.
Dudley brings nearly 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management. He joined Rhenus in 2019 and has since held several senior leadership positions across Germany, the United States and the UK, including Branch Manager for Air & Ocean in Germany and Head of Ocean Freight for North America.
Prior to joining Rhenus, he spent a decade at DHL Global Forwarding, where he worked across operational and commercial roles in Germany, the United States and Hong Kong, gaining broad international exposure across key global trade corridors.
His appointment comes at a time when Rhenus is continuing to invest heavily in its Air & Ocean division in the UK, with a focus on building stronger operational capabilities, improving technology integration and enhancing visibility across complex international supply chains.
As part of its One Rhenus strategy, the group is also prioritising investment in digital tools, automation and shipment tracking systems to deliver a more connected experience for customers. The UK business is expected to play an increasingly important role within the wider European network as these initiatives scale.
Rhenus also sees growth opportunities in both SME and large enterprise segments, particularly as global trade complexity increases and demand rises for more flexible, end-to-end logistics solutions.
The company said the UK market remained a strategic priority in its plans for expansion in Europe and that Dudley has been charged with developing the capabilities and structure to support sustainable long-term growth.
Commenting on his appointment, Scott Dudley said he aims to strengthen the UK division by building on existing foundations, improving ease of doing business for customers and positioning the business for future expansion within the global Rhenus network.
Rhenus Air & Ocean UK provides international freight forwarding, customs services and supply chain solutions across multiple UK locations, serving sectors including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, automotive and high-tech industries.
