DB Schenker Rolls Out Electric Truck Fleet in Europe
ADVERTISEMENT

DB Schenker, a leading global logistics provider, is accelerating its transition to green logistics by rolling out a fleet of fully electric trucks across major European cities. The initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations by 2030.

These electric trucks will be deployed primarily for urban deliveries, where emissions from conventional diesel trucks have been a growing concern. With zero tailpipe emissions, the new fleet is a step forward in DB Schenker’s efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of its trucking operations.

The electric fleet is also expected to offer cost savings in the long term by lowering fuel costs and maintenance expenses, as electric trucks have fewer moving parts compared to their internal combustion engine counterparts.

In addition to reducing emissions, DB Schenker is focusing on using renewable energy to charge its electric fleet. The company is also investing in expanding its charging infrastructure to support the growing number of electric vehicles in its operations.
